The
Experience
A good trekking expedition is one completed in style. The
participants have a passion for the great outdoor and the
mountain environment bears minimal impact from the passing
of the group. When all the factors are favorable the group
will reach the height of their destination and return home
enriched from discovery of self and new places.
Part and parcel of a trekking holiday is the raw excitement
of the atmosphere, sights and sounds of ancient capital cities.
Their very name fire the imagination: Kathmandu, Lhasa, Thimpu,
Gantok and the like. In cities we use 2-3 star hotels of character.
We use the best available. We have found that a little luxury
before and after the trek is always welcome. The history and
religions are an important facet of your trek; we certainly
recommend plenty of reading beforehand.
Trekking is a wonderfully relaxing pursuit in the company
of like-minded people. It gives you a chance to make new friends,
and enables you to interact with local people, who will surely
invite you into their houses for yak-butter tea, or Chang
(barley beer). Himalayan tribes-people are open hearted, generous
and often display a mischievous sense of humour - time in
their company is often one of the fondest memories you carry
home.

| "It was a great benefit
to our group to have Raj as our tour leader, his confidence
and experience inspired the rest of the group to achieve
the trek. It has been great fun but our singing has not
improved." |

"For a first or any trip to
the Himalayas , this trek couldn't be bettered. Raj
clearly has the knack of putting a happy and experienced
guides and porters who add to the holiday. Despite a
wide age range in the group all got what they wanted
from the trip. Raj always had time for all and all interests.
His guitar playing in the nights encouraged even the
tone deaf to join in and contribute something to the
party. A great trip." |

"The trip was fantastic! It
was everything I expected and far more! Yes the trekking
was brilliant. Very hard at times, but well and truly
worthwhile each time I looked up and saw the scenery.
In addition whenever the terrain or altitude got tough
Raj was there to give some verbal support. He was able
to lighten up all situations. I definitely recommend
the Annapurna Sanctuary tour to everyone, particularly
I Raj is there to give you the supportive, fun and welcoming
hand through it." |

"I don't normally do organized
trips but it was everything I could've hoped for. Raj
had the professionalism and knowledge to make the trip
a very authentic one. We had the freedom to what we
wanted when we wanted and when times got quiet (which
was very minimum) Raj was always there with his guitar
and singing skills. It was an amazing Himalayan experience-
one to remember for a lifetime." |

"The entire trip was terrific.
Enjoyed everything. Thought the trip was well organized
and well run. Nepal is the most beautiful place on earth
and Raj helped us to see it and understand it better.
Thanks" |

"Well . where to start? This
was a brilliant trip. I had an absolute ball! (Thanks
Raj). Energy must be saved for dancing in the evenings
as that can be more taxing than the 2 hours uphill.
Every drop of sweat and gasp of air is worth the satisfaction
of reaching base camp, the beauty makes all the puffing
worthwhile. The only place I would walk for 7 hours
after a night on the toilet and vomiting in the garden!!
Thanks Raj for helping me up the hill to Chomrong. I
thought those stairs would never end. It will be sad
to leave but at least I have some new dance moves to
take to the clubs in London !! Thanks" |

"What a good time! Presently
dancing with all those wonderful Nepalese porters and
Sherpas, a real celebration of the past week plus. The
trek was great- pace set by Dhan, Rattan with Raj keeping
us bojus (grandmothers) company at the rear. Lots to
look at, marvel, photograph, endless stairways to heaven,
and then descend s equally endless. Long stretches of
seemingly uninhabited country then suddenly a settlement
with buildings, buffaloes, people, sidewalk shops and
food and shelter (Tadapani). I'd recommend this trip
to the moderately fit or better." |
