Bumthang Jhambay Lhakhang Festival
Jambey Lhakhang Drup festival is interesting, despite being
a smaller festival then some others.The festival starts in
the evening until midnight, ending with a naked dance every
night. This festival is at
Bumthang which is in central Bhutan, one of the most beautiful
valleys in Bhutan. One can enjoy village life style in the
interior part of Bhutan and also the great valley with many
good local products. Black necked cranes can be seen in October
at Phubjikha valley, on the way to Bumthang from Paro/Thimphu.
For the trekking part, to view beautiful peaks and valleys
from a good height, the Druk Path has been chosen to give
the best of everything that is possible to be seen in two
weeks.

flight, KB207 at 0825-0950, arrival Paro. Lunch in the
town. Afternoon free time in town. Check in Hotel, Overnight
at Paro. |

20 Oct, Sat/07 - Morning
drive to Drugyel. Visit to Drugyel Dzong and hike to Taktsang
monastery. Whole day visit, visit inside monastery, lunch
at Cafeteria. Later visit of Kichu Lhakhang, Museum, Paro
dzong and free time in town. Overnight at Paro. |

morning drive to Thimphu. Visit to Vegetable market, Zoo,
Nunnery, Trashichhodzong, handicrafts. Thimphu halt. |

22 Oct, Mon/07 - Drive
to Punakha via Dochula Pass at Alt 3150m. Visit of Punakha
Dzong, and drive to Wangdi, visit of Wangdi dzong. Overnight
at Wangdi. |

drive to Phubjikha. Overnight in Phubjikha (where Black
necked cranes can be seen). Free time in the valley, visit
of Gangtey Gumba. Overnight at Phubjikha. |

free time. Late morning drive to Trongsa. Lunch at Chendebji
Restaurant. Overnight in Trongsa |

25 Oct, Thu/07 - Visit
to Trongsa dzong and drive to Bumthang, visiting Chume
weaving centre. After lunch visit Mebar Tsho (burning
lake) and free time in Bumthang town. Evening visit to
Jambay Lhakhang Drup. Overnight at Bumthang. |

sight seeing, visit of Jakar Dzong, Jambey Lhakhang, Kurjey
Lhakhang, short walk from Kurjey - Tamsing, visit Tamsing
Lhakhang and free time. Evening visit of the JAMBEY LHAKHANG
DRUP festival until midnight. Overnight at Bumthang. |

to Chimmi Lhakhnag(1-2 hours) and drive to Thimhu via
lunch at Dochula. Visit of Simtokha Dzong on the way to
Thimphu, the oldest dzong in Bhutan built in 1629. Overnight
in Thimphu. |

to Memorial Chorten, Art school, National Library, paper
