Bhakta is from the Newar community which makes up the largest ethnic group in the Kathmandu valley. Newari people are skilled craftsman and the prolific and stunningly beautiful wood carving, metalwork, stone sculptures and temple structures in Kathmandu were created by Newars in 17th century.

Bhakta is a holder of a Diploma in Political Science and Economic.

His first job was the setting up of the Coca Cola factory in Chitwan. He spent 3 years there but found that the stress involved with working in that field didn't really suit him.

In 1989 he joined one of the jungle lodges in the Chitwan National Park as a trainee nature guide. I remained at the lodge for 11 years reaching the position of overall in-charge of operation of the lodge and all wildlife activities. He has spent 3 months in South Africa undergoing training is bush management with particular emphasis on the rhinoceros.

He has become a Tour leader since Oct 2000. Since then he has led many groups on many different itineraries in Nepal, India and Tibet.

Prasan Lama. Trek Leader

Prasan was member of Nepal's junior soccer team in several tournaments as a teenager.

Prasan started out in the tourism sector as a white water river guide for a reputed Australian company. He has been involved in tourism since 1983. He was trained as a trek leader by Raj Tamang in 1992. He is the first to lead a exploration trek to Mount Saipal in 98. Only very few mountaineering expedition teams have been up that way in very remote Nepal's far west.

He was also in charge of managing the ground logistics for BBC's documentary on 2 paragliders' adventure to fly from the Far West end of Nepal to Pokhara. He had been leading treks for several International tour operators until 2005, he is now a proud member of the Responsible Adventures' family.
